  by Martin Boers In the past week, a person who claims to be the "Commercial Director" of Atheist Alliance International sent the following email to former supporters of the organisation, listing reasons why people should give money to AAI. It will come as no surprise to followers of the AAI saga that the people who call themselves "directors" of AAI, without any legitimate mandate, continue to hide the truth about their ongoing mismanagement of the organisation. What the above email fails to disclose is that Atheist Alliance International's tax-exempt status was revoked by the California Franchise Tax Board (FTB) in 2016 due to their failure to fulfil their reporting obligations to the FTB. This means that, since 2016, AAI has been  ineligible for the tax exemptions that are usually granted to non-profits registered in California, and AAI has therefore been accumulating a tax debt with the FTB for eight years.
